hello, 2011

i know i’ve been missing for a while.  i can’t promise i’ll post as much this year either, but i’m sure gonna try.

so i’ve finally been able to edit and upload the photos i shot last month at the first meeting of Long Beach’s LGBT group, founded by my friend, julia hammer. (click here or the image for more)

aside from the free pizza and cookies (which were awesome), i was really impressed at the turnout and amount of response julia received.

there doesn’t seem to be an official site as of yet for the group, but be sure that as soon as one surfaces, it’ll be posted here.

IN OTHER NEWS:

this site will be going under a re-design very soon. stay tuned.

Exile In Rosedale available for sale

so once again, i’ll be plugging my friend seven’s book, “exile in rosedale” which is on sale as of 12am today. definitely make sure you check this out - i’ve heard a few passages from this autobiography and i’m anxiously waiting for my copy to come in. plus, you unlock more content on the official website (www.exileinrosedale.com) with the purchase of the book, including videos, photos, and music from seven himself.

exspectator:

A preview of The Broosevelts: Live at Ponus Ridge, shot and mixed by the incomparable Jon “Jonsense” Hanford. Jon shot our whole set yesterday at Rebel Dead’s last show, and the footage and sound is amazing. Expect the rest of the videos within the next few days.

Broosevelts/”Oh hey I shot that” reblog.

Check this out! I mixed this one first intentionally because this is probably my favorite of their songs. I have a pretty ambitious idea for a music video that, with any luck, I’ll be able to make for them some time in the not-too-distant future.

(Geeky stuff - Shot in 1080p24 on Canon 7d with Sigma EX 30mm f/1.4 lens @ 1/200, f/2.0 and 2000 ISO - Audio captured with Rode NTG-1 mic on camera, Zoom H4N Onboard mics at back of venue, and vocal feed from house mix, synced and leveled in post, with the vocals effected for aural goodness)

really great video shot by an old co-worker of mine, jon hanford. he also has a sweet blog which you should follow.

seeing the material from his 7D has been really pushing me towards buying one (once some more money is in my possession)
